A year ago today, I began my life as a cancer patient. It sucked. And I'm glad its over.

Its been a long time since I posted... I am happy to report that I am cancer free and have completed treatment! It was a really long and difficult journey. The English language is limited in its ability to describe it. And I'd rather not relive it, at least not now.

My hair is growing in and my energy improves everyday! I am able to spend my days with my family and have been cherishing every moment.

I thank everyone for their support and encouragement this past year!

Wow! I am so happy to hear you are cancer free. Congratulations. I'm guessing your outlook on life and work and whatever is going to be a bit shifted now... for the better I am sure.

Live each day like it's your last.

Wunda,

I had a close friend (an ex-fiance actually) who also had a rare childhood cancer that began in her sinuses. Rhabdo-something or other I think like yours. She's in her early 40's. She too survived and became cancer-free this year. She has three children - ages 10, 18 and 20 now. The cancer hit her 2 years ago.

Once she got through it the 'let down' hit her hard. It was like she couldn't give in to the sadness for a year, then finally after she was through it all the bad feelings finally came out.

But now she's living a difficult but inspired life. She's thankful for every day and everyone. Things are difficult because the cancer kicked her butt so hard she's still not back to her old self yet.

I wish you the best. I'm so glad you made it.

Amazing because I'm a coder and came here looking for info on pair programming.

If you contact me kbedell AT gmail.com I'll put you in touch with her.
